   <title>Server Upgrade</title>
   <description>There will be some work going on in the background this week to upgrade the SCWN server to PHP 5.2.6 from PHP 4.4.4.&lt;br>As a result there maybe some small issues with one or two pages until page coding is altered for the new scripting.</description>

   <title>Website is now IE8 compatible</title>

   <description>The mesomap on the Scottish Weather Network website has been upgraded to make it compatible with Internet Explorer 8. There was an issue with the data not scrolling when viewed in IE8 but this has now been fixed.</description>
