Title: ST Kilda Weather Station
Post by: weathermaster on October 05, 2008, 09:15:26 PM
I've been searching for the ST Kilda Weather Station but I can't find anything. I read that it has 3 weather stations but I can't find there data.

Anyone know?

IIRC the Island is owned by the National Trust for Scotland, but aren't the only permanently occupied habitations out there military?

I've never seen any reference to weather stations on the islands.
The SNH warden is only out there in the summer months and the rest of the time it's only people working at the radar station for the Hebrides Range that are out there. I believe that they only do something like two months on the island and then another complete crew replace them. Not really sure how it works though but I think they a civilians under contract to the MoD.
