Title: Tonight Biggest Full Moon of 2009
Post by: DaveH64 on January 10, 2009, 08:10:27 AM
BIGGEST FULL MOON OF THE YEAR:  This weekend's full Moon is the biggest full Moon of the year. It's a "perigee Moon" as much as 14% wider and 30% brighter than lesser Moons we'll see later in 2009. Go out and look. Extra-bright moonlight.

May get a chance to see it if this storm system moves through fast enough.  ;D

Clearly visible here between around 1630 and 1700. Now lost in cloud.
Thanks to DaveH64 for mentioning it.

Nice sight up here but there was a light covering of high cloud all evening and that would have messed up any photos so I didn't bother.
