Hi folks,
i got an email from someone last night asking my help, and all i can think of is for them to get in touch with the met office - anyone any other ideas? email copied below....

Have you any idea where I
can find records of min & max temps for Altnaharra or Kinbrace for several
years, as many as possible.
I have found a few records, like the -27'c in 1995 and -17 in 2003, but what
I really want is to be able to see an average over the last 30 years or
If you're wondering, it's for my choice of heating. I'm going for Air Source
Heat Pump (kind of reverse air-con) and it stops working at -20'c. I'm
wondering what temps Altnaharra gets to on average each year.

Going back that length of time then I think the UKMO is about the only place they are likely to find those records, but they will have to pay for them.
They could try Wundergorund and see what they have??
