I leave it up to the members.  Grin

FWIW, though I think ScWN might have been better if that's where we'd started (hindsight is a wonderful thing), if it's going to cause a lot of hassle then I've no great dislike of SCWN and would be happy enough to live with it.

As for the Portal, I sort of thought we'd started to get it knocked into a shape that was meeting with approval...

(Though I still think that 'Top Posters' is a feature that I'd happily not have. Currently 2 to 1 against it I think. Any more views?).

Thanks Gordon,

I posted a "Why SCWN" thread to explain, or try too.
I can see the point of the small 'c', not that I'm trying to create work for myself you understand, but if we're to change it then now would be a good time so that it's done and out of the way.

I leave it up to the members.  Grin
Are you saying it's Fiat comply? ( And that is completely the wrong spelling)

In in otherwords change it because the old SCWN no longer works because of a point of Grammar!

I maybe should have put more smilies in there Gordon.  Wink
All I'm saying is that, although I'm happy with SCWN, if the members want a change then I'll go along with that. It would be easier to do it now, while the network is still (sort of) in its infency, than wait a while and have the change effect even more people.  Wink

I'll tell you what we'll try David; How about I remove the top posters and replace it with an advert with the logos in it?
It'll need something in there to even up that side otherwise it'll look odd.

It's SCWN, Martin you created it, and that is how it should remain.

As said the "C" can become a talking point, and we know the answer.

Personally I will confuse any one the askes that quoestion by replieny Celtic, The Scottish Celtic Weather Network. No?

Do not even go there.
Indeed!

What say we hold fire with SCWN, at least until an official ISO 3166 two letter abreviation for Scotland appears - which should give us a few years  Wink - and which won't be SC since the Seychelles got there first.

Thinks: I wonder what the Seychelles people are going to use when they get around to a Weather Network... LOL Grin

PS. Yes I'm aware that by then SCWN would be so entrenched that any attempt to change it would be impractical (unless of course it was possible to provide for backwards compatible, e.g. to handle it programatically so that requests using to 'old' SCWN syntax still worked, but let's not run too far ahead at this stage...).
